Equity release is an easy way to release cash from the equity that builds up in your home. It is the difference between the value of the property and the balance of the mortgage or any other finance that is secured on it.
Take this example:
- If your home is valued at €500,000 and you have a remaining mortgage of €100,000, you can release up to 80% of your home's value (in this case €400,000) minus the remaining balance (€100,000) = €300,000 equity release.
